The 2017 Fall Friday Family Movie Series will kick off at 6PM this Friday in Arkansas City, with two Marvel hits under the Wilson Park rotunda. The 2014 smash surprise “Guardians of the Galaxy” will kick off the weekend, followed by its sequel from earlier this year, “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2,” with a start time of approximately 8:15PM. Both films are rated PG-13. Admission is free. The fall movie series will continue at 7PM on Tuesday, October 24 under the rotunda with a special showing of the John Candy comedy classic, “The Great Outdoors,” sponsored by the Arkalalah Executive Committee. The movie will cap an evening of celebration as the restored BNSF train engine is unveiled during the 2017 Arkalalah Festival kickoff event. The festivities will begin at 5:30PM that Tuesday evening, in Wilson Park. The fall movie slate will wrap up at 6PM on Friday, November 3 with Disney’s live-action “Beauty and the Beast.” All movies may be postponed in case of inclement weather.
