A crash Sunday in Cowley County, involved a vehicle and a horse. It left two people with injuries, and it killed the horse. between a vehicle and a horseback rider left two people injured and their horse dead. According to the Cowley County Sheriff’s Office, an SUV driven by 69 year old Connie Starlin of Oxford, was southbound on 21st Road, when a rider on a horse entered the road from a private driveway in front of her. Starlin was unable to avoid the horse, which was killed in the collision. The horse’s rider… 22 year old Braden Hensley of Oklahoma, was thrown from the horse and landed in the ditch. Hensely was flown to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, treated, and then released from the hospital on Monday. Starlin was taken by ambulance to Wesley Derby Emergency Center, where she was treated and released. The accident remains under investigation. So far, no word of any charges being filed.
