Challenger Bill Rhiley has unofficially beaten incumbent Anita Judd-Jenkins of Arkansas City, in the Republican primary for Kansas House District 80. Rhiley is a newspaper publisher from Wellington.
According to the unofficial vote count late Tuesday night, Rhiley had 58 percent of the total vote between Cowley and Sumner counties, to 42 percent for Judd-Jenkins. Out of 2,301 votes cast, Rhiley received 1,337 total votes, to 964 for Judd-Jenkins.
