An Arkansas City man has been arrested for allegedly assaulting a police officer and, in the same case, an Ark City woman was detained for domestic violence. 45 year old Dayton Logue was arrested on suspicion of battery-domestic violence, interference with a law enforcement officer, battery of a law enforcement officer and assault of a law enforcement officer. He was booked into the Cowley County Jail in lieu of $7,000 bond. Meanwhile, 34 year old Kelby Dawn Kerr was arrested on suspicion of battery-domestic violence as well. She was booked into the county jail in lieu of $1,500 bond. Apparently, a physical altercation occurred between the two at a home on South Third Street on Tuesday. Both Kerr and Logue since have posted bond and have been released. No major injuries were reported and no medical treatment was needed as a result of the incident.
