An Arkansas City man who was arrested back in May, was sentenced in the District Court in Arkansas City on Tuesday morning. Ryan Hobson entered a plea of no contest to one count of possession of marijuana and one count of obstruction in one of the two cases filed against him. He pleaded guilty to the other charge he faced, disorderly conduct. Hobson was sentenced to 90 days for the possession charge and thirty days each for the other two charges. The sentences will run consecutively, that means seperately and following each other. Hobson will also have to serve 1 year of probation, pay nearly $800 in court fees, and re-reimburse the county for his court appointed counsel. One more thing… while he is on probation, Hobson is prohibited from consuming any alcohol or cereal malt beverages.
