A rollover crash Friday night just north of the Oklahoma border, was a close call for an Arkansas City man. Lucas Myers was partially ejected from his 1964 Chevy Pickup, when it rolled over twice before coming to rest on the driver’s side in the median of US 77. The crash happened as snow and sleet was pelting the area. A passenger in the truck… Jose Bedolla, along with another man who was following the truck… Ethan Tauscher… were able to get Myers out from under the truck, wehre he was pinned… saving his life. Amazingly, Bedolla… although a little banged up, suffered no serious injuries. Myers however, was rushed to South Central Kansas Medical Center in serious condition, and then transferred to Wichita. He reportedly suffered four broken ribs, a fractured sternum and spine, brain hemorrhage, and a broken arm. He underwent surgery, and doctors say they expect him to make a full recovery. As for that ’64 Chevy pickup… well, it’s pretty much destroyed now.
