An Arkansas City man has been arrested in connection with a stabbing that occurred back on July 24th. 40 year old James Jackson is facing a felony charge of suspicion of aggravated battery and disorderly conduct. It was back on July 24th, just before 1am, when Ark City Police responded to a report of a stabbing on South Sixth Street, and found a man bleeding from the neck. The 49 year old victim… an Ark City resident whose name is not being released… was taken to South Central Kansas Medical Center for treatment of his injuries. Witnesses say Jackson pulled out a box cutter after getting into a disagreement with the victim, and stabbed him in the neck and back with it.
Jackson is now in the Cowley County Jail in Winfield, where he is being held in lieu of $50,000 bond.
