The Cowley County Sheriff’s Office is trying to hund down a missing Cowley County Jail inmate who failed to return from work release Tuesday afternoon. 23 year old Mason Shawn Renollet, who now lives in Oklahoma, but is formerly from Arkansas City, was granted court-authorized work release last Thursday. He was released from the jail at just after 1 Tuesday afternoon to look for a job, and he was supposed to return at 3 p.m., but he never cambe back, and so charges were filed for escape from custody. Renollet is 5-foot-10 and weighs around 150 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. He was serving time in the county jail for a disorderly conduct-domestic violence conviction; failure to appear in Cowley County District Court in Arkansas City; and probation violation on original charges of theft, driving with a canceled or suspended driver’s license and criminal use of a financial card.
Renollet was being held in lieu of $2,000 bond for the disorderly conduct case and $1,702 bond for failure to appear.
