A warning to those who try to cheat the system…. you’re probably gonna get caught! A Kansas woman was ordered on Friday, to repay more than $4,500 to the Kansas Medicaid Program after pleading guilty to Medicaid fraud-related charges. Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt’s office released a statement, sayinig 56 year old Lisa Allen pleaded guilty in April in Jackson County District Court, to one felony count of making a false claim to the Medicaid program. On Friday, a judge ordered Allen to repay $4,511.72 to the Kansas Medicaid Program. Allen was also ordered to serve 24 months probation with an underlying jail sentence of 6 months. Allen was convicted, after an investigation revealed that she billed Medicaid for services provided as a personal care attendant for a Medicaid beneficiary while on the job with another employer. There were approximately 101 hours that Allen claimed she was providing services while she was working at the other job… between November 2014 and September 2015.
