Someone in our local area is starting out the new year on solid financial footing. That person would be whoever bought a Powerball ticket for the Kansas Lottery in South-Central Kansas. On Monday… New Years Eve… the Kansas Lottery released a statement, saying that someone bought a $1 million Powerball ticket for Saturday’s Powerball drawing in the area. The winner has not as of yet, come forward to claim the prize. If you bought a ticket and haven’t already done so, you might want to take a few moments and check those numbers. The winning ticket numbers were 12-42-51-53-62. And if you just checked and discovered that your ticket was NOT the winning ticket, you still have time to buy a ticket for today’s Powerball drawing, which offers an estimated $53 million jackpot, with a $32 million cash option.
