The Southwestern College Youth Symphony will hold auditions for young musicians who wants to be a part of the symphony for the 2015-16 school year. The auditions will be Tuesday-Thursday, May 19-21, from 5 to 9 p.m., in the Darbeth Fine Arts Center on the campus of Southwestern College.
Middle and high school students who play string, wind, brass, or percussion instruments are encouraged to try out. Students should prepare a one- to two-minute solo and a two-octave scale of the musician’s choice. There will also be a sight-reading portion to the audition. Students will be notified of their specific audition day and time upon registration. The audition fee is $5.
