A big announcement after the Monday evening city commission meeting in Winfield… City Manager Jeremy Willmoth and the Winfield City Commission have entered into a separation and severance agreement. According to the local paper, a statement released by the city commission says the decision was announced after a 10-minute executive session at the end of Monday night’s regular commission meeting. No single reason for the decision was given. Willmoth became city manager in February 2017. Before that, he served five years as the Cowley County administrator. His salary was $119,000 a year. Details of the severance agreement have not been made immediately available.
