Instructions: A flash flood watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding. flash flooding is a very dangerous situation. remember to turn around, don`t drown. you should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should flash flood warnings be issued.
Message Summary: ...flash flood watch in effect from 7 pm cdt until 10 am cdt thursday for southeast kansas...
...flash flood watch remains in effect from 7 pm cdt this evening through thursday morning...
The flash flood watch continues for
    * portions of south central kansas and southeast kansas, including the following areas, in south central kansas, butler and cowley. In southeast kansas, allen, chautauqua, elk, greenwood, labette, montgomery, neosho, wilson, and woodson.
    * from 7 pm cdt this evening through thursday morning.
    * thunderstorms will develop over southeast kansas and become more numerous for tonight. The thunderstorms could begin to back build to the west, and then train over the same areas along a stalled out low level boundary tonight. With grounds already soaked, this added rainfall will cause flash flooding to occur quickly over parts of the watch area.
    * widespread 1 to 3 inches of rainfall is expected, however a narrow band of 3 to 5 inches or higher is possible especially for the locations that experience training storms. This could create very significant flooding and a possible flash flood emergency situation.
