The City of Arkansas City has officially brought Water Well No. 16 online, marking another major investment in the community’s water infrastructure and long-term water reliability. Construction on the new well began in December 2024 as part of the City’s ongoing efforts to improve and modernize the municipal water system. The project replaced an outdated existing well, which has now been decommissioned and dismantled. The new well improves water supply capacity and helps ensure reliable, high-quality drinking water service for residents and businesses across Arkansas City. Before being placed into service, Well No. 16 underwent extensive water quality testing to confirm the system was fully operational and met all required safety and quality standards.
