From the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier to the halls of the U.S. Capitol, 14 Arkansas City High School students just spent four days exploring the history, culture, and stories that have shaped our nation. The trip, organized by sponsors of the ACHS Multicultural Club and open to all ACHS students, took students to Washington, D.C., and Baltimore, where they visited historic landmarks, national memorials, and world-class museums. Students walked through Arlington National Cemetery, stood beneath the Lincoln Memorial, toured the U.S. Capitol, explored Smithsonian museums, visited Mount Vernon, and spent time reflecting at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum and the National Museum of African American History and Culture.
