The City-Cowley County Health Department says ticks are another potent spreader of vector-borne illnesses, and Kansas is home to several species of disease-carrying ticks, including the Lone Star tick, deer ticks, and dog ticks. Due to their small size, ticks can be very difficult to detect, making them especially dangerous!
