Cowley County has received notification from the Kansas Department of Revenue, Property Valuation Division, that the Cowley County Appraiser’s Office has successfully met the State of Kansas requirements for substantial compliance for the 2026 appraisal year. Each year, the state conducts a statistical and procedural compliance review of county appraiser offices across the state. The review provides an important level of independent oversight, and evaluates whether county appraisal operations are being conducted in accordance with state law, directives, and established appraisal standards.
