A Haysville man who was found with half a pound of methamphetamine while wearing an ankle monitor from a previous conviction was sentenced last week to serve 14 years in prison for a drug trafficking charge.38-year-old Dakota Dale McDaniel of Haysville was arrested and charged with two weapons crimes and one count of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine after being pulled over by the Kansas Highway Patrol near Hemlock Avenue and Hemlock Place in south Wichita on September 23, 2025, according to a press release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Kansas and federal court documents.
