Schwihag, a global leader in Railroad Rail fasteners and Turnouts Solution Designs, has announced plans to make a significant new investment in its Winfield manufacturing facility, adding robotic and advanced manufacturing processes designed to increase production capacity and support the company’s continued growth in Winfield. The Switzerland-based company finalized the purchase of a 30,000 square-foot-property at the Winfield Industrial Park in December 2024.
The approximately $5.5 million investment will introduce new automated manufacturing technology and supporting equipment at the facility. The project is expected to add an extra shift as well as additional manufacturing and professional office positions to strengthen Schwihag’s long-term manufacturing presence in the community.
