The Kansas Department of Health and Environment on Wednesday said that the state has seen 593 new COVID-19 cases, six new deaths and 36 new hospitalizations since Monday, April 19.
Overall, Kansas has seen 306,883 COVID-19 cases, 4,961 deaths and 9,997 hospitalizations.
Cowley County overall has seen 3,920 COVID-19 cases and 38 hospitalizations. There have been four new cases reported for the county since Monday, April 19.
In other COVID-related news from KDHE, more than 1,764,347 doses of the vaccine have been administered to Kansans. This includes 1,078,489 first doses and 685,858 second doses. This means that 36.4% of the state’s population has received at least one dose of the vaccine.
A total of 2,322,080 doses of the vaccine have been distributed across Kansas. This includes 1,803,370 doses by the State of Kansas and 518,710 doses by the Federal Pharmacy Program. KDHE reports that 37% of the state’s population has received one dose of the vaccine.
