Guilty on all charges!!! That was the verdict handed down Wednesday, by a Cowley County jury in the case against Marty Anderson… the man accused of shooting his ex-wife, Elizabeth Alberts, and holding her and her daughters hostage. Anderson was also found guilty of all charges related to prior sexual abuse of one of his former stepdaughters. Anderson yesterday, was deemed guilty of one count of attempted second-degree murder, three counts of aggravated kidnapping, one count of kidnapping, two counts of rape, one count of criminal sodomy, one count of aggravated burglary, two counts of aggravated assault, one count of violating a protection-from-abuse order and one count of aggravated robbery. The jury deliberated for around three hours before announcing the verdicts. Sentencing is now scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Nov. 23 at the Cowley County Courthouse. Anderson remains in the Cowley County Jail.
