A reminder, The City of Arkansas City will shift to a three-day sanitation schedule due to the closure of all City offices Nov. 24-25 for Thanksgiving. The joint Arkansas City/Winfield Recycling Operations Center in Strother Field will be closed Nov. 24-26 in observance of Thanksgiving. Thus, there will be no recycling services offered this week. The joint recycling center will reopen for drop-offs from 8 a.m. to noon on Dec. 2 and Dec. 3. All refuse should be placed at normal pickup locations by 6 a.m. on the scheduled day of pickup.
