Since 1871 Arkansas City has had a town band. The 2026 season of free public concerts starts this Thursday, May 28th at 7:30pm at the Wilson Park Rotunda. According to Director Chris VanGilder this first concert of the summer will feature ‘All American’ music, some patriotic and others just distinctly American. Some park benches are available, but concert goers may wish to bring their own seating.
