Arkansas City Police arrested an Ark City woman after another person complained of a neck injury. 36 year old Champagne Hodges is now charged with battery after officers answered a call earlier this week at 1316 S. Summit St. for an initial report of a victim with a self-inflicted injury, but they later learned that the injury was not self-inflicted. The victim, a 61-year-old woman whose name is not being released, was treated for the injury to her neck at the scene. Investigators say they have since identified Hodges as a suspect, and so they issued the citation.
