The City of Ark City says during a recent City Commission meeting, a proclamation was made to recognize National Foster Care Month locally. They say their hope during this month is that our community will recognize foster families. These unsung heroes serve as the primary source of love, protection, and support to the children and youth in the foster care system in Cowley County. We also realize numerous public and private organizations work tirelessly to increase public awareness of the needs of children in foster care, as well as the enduring and valuable contribution of foster parents.
