Cowley County commissioners plan to keep all county buildings closed to the general public until at least May 10th… or until they feel it is safe to open. The buildings have been closed to the public for several weeks due to coronavirus concerns… other than by appointment. They say while many have called to try to find out when the district court and the Department of Motor Vehicles are going to reopen, because they are state agencies, the county has no control over that. Meanwhile, Cowley County as of today, is planning to have county employees in the buildings and the buildings will be open for business next week.
