The Kansas Department of Health and Environment on Sunday, reported that statewide, Kansas added 49 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total statewide to 747… a 7% increase over Saturday. Meanwhile closer to home, Cowley County remained at just one known case as of Sunday morning. More good news too… As of last count, while 69 tests have been performed locally, 63 have come back negative. Other than the one positive case, there remain just five results pending. There have been 183 hospitalizations across the state and 22 deaths attributed to coronavirus. Statewide, there have been 7,476 negative tests recorded. Kay County, Okla., added one case on Sunday and now stands at 30. Statewide the Oklahoma count is 1,252, an 8 percent increase, which is also low compared to previous days.
