Cowley County Fair Canceled For 2020

Another victom of the coronavirus? The 2020 Cowley COunty Fair. Nope… It’s not going to happen this year, according to social media posts from the Fair itself. This comes after the Walnut Valley Association earlier said that the Walnut Valley Festival also would not happen. The statement from the fair says, “After careful review, the Cowley County Fair Association, along with Cowley County Health Department and the City of Winfield, has come to a decision. We know that everyone is ready to get out of the house and start attending events since Covid -19 has caused so many issues. Cowley County Fair understands the continued risk that can occur with large gatherings and at this time, for the safety of the community, friends and family, the Cowley County Fair will not be held this year. We’ll begin plans for the 2021 fair.”
