Cowley County Health Department Discusses Vaccine Safety

The Cowley County Health Department is strongly urging everyone to get the COVID-19 vaccine as soon as it becomes available to them. If we don’t get widespread coverage of the vaccine, the health department says the outlook is grim. A statement from the health department this week says that public health orders will need to continue at least for another couple of months. But if nobody were to get the vaccine, it says those face mask and social distancing orders would have to continue for as much as three years. As it stands now, 30 people have died in Cowley COunty duie to complications from the coronavirus. But if nobody got the vaccine, it says a total of 12-hundred people would die over the course of the next several years.
