Cowley County – planning to honor a former county counselor who passed away in 2012. Current county administrator Lucas Golf says you’ll be hard pressed to go anywhere in Cowley County without finding something that Bill Taylor was involved in. The county will plant trees onm the courthouse grounds. Four oak trees will be planted on the northwest part of the front lawn, while two maple trees eill go in on the northeast side. Taylor was responsible for planting about 500 trees at Winfield Country Club many years ago.
