As of 9:50 a.m. on Wednesday, June 10, the City-Cowley County Health Department is reporting that there have been 28 positive cases of COVID-19 in Cowley County since testing began.

There have been 991 tests performed in the county, and there are 24 active cases at this time.

So far, none of the newer cases have required hospitalizations.

Local Public Health Officer Thomas Langer says that there are no plans to close down businesses or social activities again, but full reopening might not happen until the current outbreak wanes.

Cowley County remains under phase 3 of a statewide reopening plan. Phase 3 allows large outdoor gatherings of up to 250 people, social gatherings of up to 150 people and onsite operations of up to 100 people.
