Cowley County has been awarded a Community Development Block Grant from the Kansas Department of Commerce to fund grants to businesses that have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. This is a grant opportunity for those that experienced or are facing impending income losses or other stresses due to COVID-19 through reimbursement of qualified expenses. Cowley First, Cowley County Economic Development, will be accepting applications for business grants through October 2nd. The award to the County is $132,000. Grants will be limited to either $4,000 for businesses with 5 or fewer employees or $12,000 for businesses with 6-50 employees.
