Cowley Trustees Add Two – Seek One More

Earlier this week, JoLynn Foster and Christopher Swan were appointed to become members of the Cowley College Board of Trustees… picked from a list of 7 applicants who filed notice that they wanted to fill seats vacated by Bob Juden and Jill Long, who both quit in April. Foster is a retired accountant who served one term as a trustee, but lost her re-election bid last year. She will fill Juden’s term, which expires in January 2021. Swan is engineering director for GE Aviation at Strother Field, and he will fill Long’s term, which expires January 2023. A third open seat created by the resignation of Nancy Burger earlier this month was also on the agenda, but that remains open. Trustees approved publicizing that opening and seeking letters of interest. They have to wait at least 15 days after publication to fill the seat.
