The Sporting Friends of Cowley County will be hosting the Tyler Juden Memorial Youth Hunter Education Challenge (YHEC) on Sunday, October 2, at the Baird Ranch south of Silverdale. Prior to the challenge, the group will be hosting a Youth Church Service again this year at 8:30 a.m. Registration will follow at 9 a.m. and then the challenge is from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Tyler Juden Memorial Youth Hunter Education Challenge provides a fun and practical environment for kids, ages 10 to 17, to develop and improve their hunting, marksmanship, and safety skills. Participants get hands-on training from rifle, bow, muzzleloader, and shotgun.
