The Kansas Department of Transportation is set to start an emergency culvert repair on U.S. 77 north of Winfield on or about Oct. 12. Crews will work on the culvert between 122nd and 132nd Road. All work will be on the west shoulder of the highway, with minimal impact to traffic. Wildcat Construction Co., Inc., of Wichita, is the primary contractor for the $435,000 project. The intent is to finish the repair by the end of October, conditions permitting.
