The 39th Annual K&O Steam & Gas Engine Show will be held this Friday and Saturday at the Winfield Fairgrounds, although due to COVID-19 it has been modified a bit. The show this year will be shorter, because everything that normally happens on Sunday has been cancelled. Those events include the bean feed, live music, grandstand events, and the classic car show. The steam engines will be displayed in the infield area of the grounds, and there will also be the usual outdoor flea market, tractor pull and games, plus the garden tractor pull, parade, old-time threshing, corn shelling, baling, silage cutting and more. The Country Store and other crafters will be set up inside Barn 4. Tractors, displays and demonstrations will be in the shaded areas of Barn 4. New this year is the Tractor Cruise Up-Town which will take place starting at 2 Friday afternoon. Anyone who wants to drive their tractor is welcome. The parade will go from the fairgrounds to Main Street and to the south end of town where they will leave the highway and return to the fairgrounds. There will be a police escort. Masks and social distancing are encouraged. It all begins at 8am this Friday, and will wrap up at about 5pm on Saturday.
