The Etzanoa Immersion Center is proud to announce its participation in the 2026 Kansas Tourism Sunflower Summer program. Located east of Arkansas City, Etzanoa was a major settlement from 1450-1700 with more than twenty thousand plus people living right in this area of south-central Kansas. The Sunflower Summer Program is a benefit for Kansas families with school-aged children, pre-K through Grade 12, to encourage them to explore, and fall in love with Kansas. The program is designed to give affordable access to tourism attractions across the state and support the Kansas tourism economy.The Etzanoa Immersion Center offers numerous artifacts and displays, hands-on learning experiences and compelling site tours, VR adventures, a theatre area to share the story of Etzanoa with guests, two stunning outdoor trails and a life-size replica of a Wichita tribal house.
