A crash Saturday night north of Winfield resulted in the death of a teenager from Augusta, and the arrest of a suspected drunk driver. Cowley County deputies were called out to the 11000 block of 82nd Road on July 4th, where they say the driver of a Chevrolet Traverse had crossed into oncoming traffic and slammed head on into a Harley Davidson motorcycle. The driver of the Traverse… 28 year old Kaitlyn Keeling of Belle Plaine, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence. She was locked up in the Cowley County Jail, but later posted bond of $1,000, and was released. The driver of the motorcycle, 18 year old Chase Augur, was pronounced dead at the scene.
