Across the state today, flags will fly at half-staff to honor one of this nation’s darkest days. Yesterday, Kansas Governor Laura Kelly ordered flags throughout the state to be flown at half-staff for the entire day today to honor those who lost their lives on September 11th, 2001. In a statement, Kelly hailed first responders and emergency workers, who “gave everything to help others” on 9-11, adding that “we are reminded of the strength of our nation when we come together to support one another in times of crisis.”
