From the National Weather Service in Norman, Oklahoma:
A FLOOD WARNING is in effect for northern Kay County until 3:15 p.m. this afternoon.
At 921 AM CDT, the public reported flooding near Newkirk and
surrounding areas. Three to four inches of rain have fallen. 1025 The River admin reported earlier of water on Highway 77 at Bender Road 2 miles north of Newkirk. Traffic was last reported at 8:40 a.m. to be able to drive through the area.
Some locations that will experience flooding include Blackwell, Newkirk, Kildare, northwestern Kaw Lake and Peckham.
Remember to turn around and don’t drown when you see flooded roadways.
