Confirmed coronavirus cases here in Kansas jumped by 271 on Thursday, or 12.3 percent. The total statewide now stands at 2,282. Two more deaths were added yesterday, bringing that total up to 112. There have been 442 hospitalizations, 10 more than the day before. Meanwhile, Sedgwick County case numbers went up by 49 on Thursday, to 314 total. Other counties near Cowley remained stable, and Cowley County itself, continues to hold steady at one positive case, and one death. In Oklahoma cases grew by 123 on Thursday, a 4.3 percent increase to 3,017 overall. Nine more deaths brought the total 179. The state health department website in Oklahoma reports that 1,884 people have recovered. Kay County added one new positive case in Ponca City, bringing the county total to 47. The death toll in Kay County remains at 6.
