Governor Laura Kelly today announced $4,697,713 has been awarded to Kansas sexual and domestic violence programs through the 2021 American Rescue Plan Act administered by the Family Violence Prevention and Services Act (FVPSA). The funding will assist sexual assault support centers with transitioning to virtual/remote support services and increase their capacity to offer services to sexual assault survivors. The funds will also go toward measures to increase access to COVID-19 testing, vaccines, and mobile health units to promote public health.
