TOPEKA – Governor Laura Kelly proclaimed the month of May as Foster Care Month in Kansas to raise awareness of the tireless work of child welfare professionals and foster families. This proclamation reaffirms that Kansas is committed to supporting the well-being, safety, and stability of children in foster care and their families.
“No child should be without a stable home and a loving family,” said Governor Laura Kelly. “I hope all Kansans will join me this month by thanking the countless individuals who provide our children in foster care the support and nurturing environment they deserve and need to succeed.”
