The City of Ark City says due to an overwhelming response to the Arkansas City CDBG Housing Rehabilitation Grant Program, the application review process took a little longer than originally anticipated. The program received nearly triple the expected number of applications. Applications were reviewed using HUD eligibility guidelines, and SCKEDD has completed a preliminary ranking of applicants. Applicants selected to move forward may receive: • A letter outlining the next steps in the process, or • A phone call requesting additional information. Unfortunately, not all applicants could be selected during this grant cycle. However, residents may still qualify for weatherization assistance for eligible repairs and energy-efficiency improvements.
