Nearly $169,000 in housing rehabilitation projects are moving forward in Arkansas City, helping six households make important improvements to their homes. Earlier this week, the City Commission approved six contracts through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Housing Rehabilitation Program. The projects include interior repairs, lead-related safety improvements and upgrades to help make homes safer and more comfortable. Through funding from the Kansas Department of Commerce, the program helps eligible homeowners address housing needs while preserving existing homes in our community.
