A Kansas man was arrested and charged in a human trafficking case. The Shawnee County Sheriff’s Office says 51-year-old David Spears traveled to Topeka to meet with a 17-year-old girl at a motel on Monday night. Spears was arrested after authorities received information from a concerned citizen. The victim was taken into protective custody, and a 17-year-old Topeka boy was also arrested and charged with commercial sexual exploitation.
