The Kansas Department of Health and Environment reported on Monday that there have been 590 new COVID-19 cases, four deaths documented and 24 hospitalizations since Friday, March 5.
Kansas has seen 296,451 COVID-19 cases overall since the pandemic began last year. The death toll is now at 4,816, overall hospitalization total is at 9,411 and there have been 978,415 negative test results.
Cowley County has seen 30 new COVID-19 cases since Wednesday, March 3, and the county has seen an overall total of 3,845 COVID-19 cases.

As for the COVID-19 vaccine, 698,670 doses of the vaccine have been administered to Kansans. There have been 465,622 individuals who received the first dose and 232,986 who have gotten the second dose. KDHE also says that 1,020,380 doses of the vaccine have been distributed, 837,340 by the state and 183,040 by the Federal Pharmacy Program.
16% of Kansans have been vaccinated with one dose.
