The Kansas Department of Health and Environment reported on Wednesday that there have been 778 new COVID-19 cases, 35 deaths documented and 56 hospitalizations since Monday, March 8.
Kansas has seen 297,229 COVID-19 cases overall since the pandemic began last year. The death toll is now at 4,851, overall hospitalization total is at 9,467, and there have been 978,415 negative test results.
Cowley County has seen 19 new COVID-19 cases since Monday and the county has seen an overall total of 3,864 COVID-19 cases.

As for the COVID-19 vaccine, 698,670 doses of the vaccine have been administered to Kansans. There have been 491,430 individuals who received the first dose and 249,315 who have gotten the second dose. KDHE also says that 1,112,250 doses of the vaccine have been distributed, 928,040 by the state and 184,210 by the Federal Pharmacy Program.
16.9% of Kansans have been vaccinated with one dose.
