The Kansas Department of Health and Environment on Wednesday documented 1,071 new COVID-19 cases, seven new deaths and 51 new hospitalizations since Friday, July 2.
No new data was reported Monday, July 5 due to honoring Independence Day.
Overall, Kansas has seen 319,586 COVID-19 cases, 11,186 hospitalizations and 5,166 deaths. 17 children in Kansas have suffered from Multi-system Inflammatory Syndrome.
Cowley County has seen an overall total of 4,010 COVID-19 cases and 41 hospitalizations. Five new cases have been reported for Cowley County since Wednesday, June 30.

KDHE is also reporting that 2,361,929 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered. This includes 1,299,941 first doses and 1,061,988 second doses. Therefor, 44.6% of Kansans have been vaccinated with one dose, and 39.2% of Kansans are fully vaccinated.
There have been 2,911,300 doses of the vaccine distributed across Kansas. The state has distributed 2,036,830 doses while the Federal Pharmacy Program has administered 874,470 doses.
