The Kansas Department of Health and Environment on Wednesday says that they’ve documented 470 new COVID-19 cases, 14 new deaths and 33 new hospitalizations since Monday, May 3.

Overall, Kansas has seen 310,115 COVID-19 cases, 10,312 hospitalizations and 4,999 deaths. Fourteen children in Kansas have suffered from Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome.

Cowley County has seen an overall total of 3,952 COVID-19 cases and 39 hospitalizations. Cowley County has seen five new COVID-19 cases since Monday.

KDHE is also reporting that 1,955,586 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered. This includes 1,131,813 first doses and 823,773 second doses. Therefor, 38.8% of Kansans have been vaccinated with one dose.

There have been 2,602,200 doses of the vaccine distributed across Kansas. The state has distributed 1,981,790 doses while the Federal Pharmacy Program has administered 620,410 doses.
